Counselling for adolescents

At flourish inside out psychology services, our North Sydney psychologist offers psychological assessment and therapy for adolescents aged 12 and over for a range of emotional concerns. Our areas of special interest include:

• Anxiety disorders: including generalised anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, specific phobias, health anxiety, perfectionism, performance anxiety, school refusal behaviours, imposter syndrome
• Depression
• Post-traumatic stress disorder
• Grief and Loss
• Chronic illnesses, complex health issues and adjustment to these
• Life transitions and adjustment disorders (e.g. moving to high school, adjusting to parent separation, sporting injuries)
• Suicidal ideation and self-harm behaviours
• Tic disorders and Tourette syndrome
• Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
• Migrant experiences and cross-cultural issues

We will occasionally see 9 to 11 year olds presenting with anxiety disorders, depression, grief and loss, or tic disorders/Tourettes. Please contact us to discuss if we can help your child. 

We also have special interest in counselling gifted individuals, people of colour, creatives (especially writers!), and migrants through challenges they may face.
