Helping high-achievers get unstuck from anxiety and live a life based on what matters to them.

Offering psychology appointments in North Sydney and online across Australia

Welcome!

You might be someone who appears to be coping on the surface. You work hard, care deeply, and have high standards for yourself. Yet despite everything you are doing, you may find yourself caught in worry, overthinking, self-doubt, or the feeling that you are never quite doing enough.

Anxiety can show up in many ways. It can affect your confidence, your relationships, your sleep, your work, your ability to make decisions, or your capacity to enjoy the things that matter most to you. Over time, it can leave you feeling stuck, disconnected, or exhausted from carrying so much on your own.

“Happiness is not dependent on circumstances being exactly as we want them to be, or on ourselves being exactly as we’d like to be. Rather, happiness stems from loving ourselves and our lives exactly as they are, knowing that joy and pain, strength and weakness, glory and failure are all essential to the full human experience.” – Kristin Neff

My role is not to help you eliminate every difficult thought or feeling. My role is to help you build a different relationship with those experiences so they no longer get in the way of living the life you want.

How I can help

I provide psychology services for people experiencing:

Anxiety and overwhelm

Overthinking and worry

Stress and burnout

Confidence and self-worth difficulties

Panic attacks

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Loneliness and connection difficulties

I also have particular interest and experience in supporting people from culturally diverse backgrounds, people living with chronic illness, gifted individuals, creative professionals, and adults experiencing tics, Tourette Syndrome, or trichotillomania.

My Approach

I understand that no two people experience anxiety in exactly the same way.

Every person brings their own strengths, life experiences, cultural background, values, and circumstances into therapy. I work collaboratively with clients to understand what is happening for them and to tailor support to their individual needs.

My work is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), alongside Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). We’ll explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop practical skills for responding differently, and focus on moving towards the life you want to live.

Rather than asking, "How do I get rid of this feeling?", we often explore, "How do I keep moving towards what matters, even when difficult thoughts and feelings show up?"

Hi, I'm Sanchana

I am a registered Sydney psychologist with almost two decades of experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults across public and private mental health settings.

I have always been drawn to working with anxiety in its many forms. I enjoy helping people understand themselves more deeply, navigate difficult emotions, and reconnect with what is important to them.

Having lived across different cultures and countries myself, I also understand some of the challenges that can come with identity, belonging, family expectations, loneliness, and finding your place in the world.

My aim is to provide a warm, genuine, and collaborative space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

Taking the First Step

If anxiety, stress, or overwhelm are getting in the way of the life you want to live, I would be happy to help.

You are welcome to contact me to book an appointment or arrange a brief phone call if you would like to ask questions and see whether I am the right fit for you.
